YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–199 illegal businesses were exposed in the Erebuni district–Yerevan–by the local revenue service. According to the information provided by the Ministry of Internal Revenues–six of the afore-mentioned businesses were operating without cash registers–four were unlicensed–and another 189 were not registered at the revenue service.
Talking to Noyan Tapan–Deputy Minister of Internal Revenues Gagik Gevorgian said that the measures taken by the revenue services are planned. The Erebuni district revenue service is taking measures aimed at involving the afore-mentioned 189 businesses in the taxation field.
It should be noted that those engaged in business without licenses and state registration are fined 15-30 thousand drams and are held responsible by an administrative order. Businesses that are liable to have cash registers but fail to purchase them are fined 150,000 drams.
