Anti US protester being dragged by Azeri polics

BAKU—Police in Azerbaijan detained some 30 Muslim activists Monday while preventing a protest from breaking out near the US embassy over a film mocking Islam that has triggered uproar in the Arab world, AFP reported.

More than 100 protesters chanting “God is Great” attempted to reach the embassy in the Baku and stage an unauthorized rally against the US-produced film.

They were kept from advancing on the building by police wielding batons, with several protesters injured in the resulting clashes, an AFP correspondent said.

The embassy earlier Monday had issued a warning to US citizens about a protest “assumed to be connected to other anti-American demonstrations ongoing worldwide.”

The low-budget film, entitled “Innocence of Muslims,” has sparked fury for mocking the Prophet Mohammed and portraying Muslims as immoral and violent.

Is it not interesting that the US embassy in Christian Armenia puts out an alert but the US embassy in Muslim Azerbajian , Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan , Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan are put on alert where the real muslim nuts are. Another brilliant decision by the Obama administration.

I strongly disagree with attacking Islam and the prophet Mohammed because this is wrong and unfair to all the educated and progressive Muslims. These stupid attacks on Islam empowers these Islamic extremists and allows them to recruit more extremists. These Islamic extremists that are involved in the violence are a cancer that has created great destruction and civil unrest in Muslim countries. Religious fanaticism in any religion is dangerous. Look at Netanyahu, he is a bloodthirsty Jewish extremist and the right wing Protestant Christian evangelical psychos in the US who support Israel are even worse. Sadly enough the obama administration actually has a working relationship with the Muslim Brotherhood, a terrorist organization with links of Al-Quaida and an organization that killed Sadat and many other politicians in the Muslim world. The Muslim brotherhood is involved in most of the insurgency and terrorism in Syria.

And Armenia is on the “danger list” …. looks like oil money does not only buy the freedom of an axe murderer, but also keeps Baku’s name off the US security risk…..
