MONTEBELLO, Calif.—Never before have so many organizations been in one place to promote their work in Armenia.
The Volunteer Armenia Expo will feature over twenty exhibitors who will be sharing their volunteer, internship and study abroad opportunities at the Montebello Armenian Center on Saturday February 28 from noon to 4 pm.

Birthright Armenia – Strengthen ties between the homeland and Diasporan youth, by affording them an opportunity to be a part of Armenia’s daily life and to contribute to Armenia’s development through work, study and volunteer experiences, while developing life-long personal ties and a renewed sense of Armenian identity.
Nor Luyce Mentoring Center for Youth – Provide teenage girls from orphanages and low-income families with a one-on-one mentoring relationship, presenting an opportunity to have a role model and to learn more from their mentors.
Armenian Volunteer Corps – Serve Armenia through volunteer service and help enhance a culture of volunteerism in Armenia. The exchange of ideas, values, and experiences between international volunteers and local Armenians creates mutual growth and understanding, and broadens horizons and perspectives.
American University of Armenia – Provides teaching, research, and service programs that prepare students and enable faculty and researchers to address the needs of Armenia and the surrounding region for sustainable development, in a setting that values and develops academic excellence.
Zartonk-89 – Improve the lives of parentless, needy and refugee children and youth in Armenia. Implement various educational, social and health projects focused on improving the mental, physical and social skills of youth and on building their self-esteem.
Armenian Youth Federation Youth Corps – Builds bridges between youth of the Diaspora and the Homeland through summer camp sessions organized for underprivileged children in many different villages and towns throughout Armenia and Artsakh.
Habitat for Humanity – brings people together to build homes, communities and hope in impoverished areas of Armenia.
TUMO Center for Creative Technologies – A new kind of after-school learning environment where thousands of students aged 12-18 are in charge of their own learning. Our aim is to expand young people’s horizons and give them the resources to achieve their full creative potential. TUMO aspires to motivate Armenian youth to learn, and encourage them to create new possibilities for themselves.
Paros Foundation – Iimprove conditions in Armenia through leveraging support from the diaspora to effectively implement humanitarian, development, educational and cultural projects and support trusted local organizations.
Armenia Tree Project – Since 1994, ATP has made enormous strides in combating desertification in the biologically diverse but threatened Caucasus region. More than 4,000,000 trees have been planted and restored, and hundreds of jobs have been created for Armenians in seasonal tree-related programs. ATP works to further Armenia’s economic and social development by mobilizing resources to fund reforestation. These vital new trees provide food, wood, environmental benefits, and opportunities for economic growth.
Orann – Help children and elderly in needy by providing a daily hot meal, medical, social, psychological services. Also vocational training and tutoring for the children.
Homeland Development Initiative Foundation – HDIF works to initiate, facilitate, and nurture sustainable economic opportunities in rural and disenfranchised regions of Armenia.
Armenian General Benevolent Union – The world’s largest non-profit organization devoted to preserving and promoting the Armenian identity and heritage through educational, cultural and humanitarian programs. Each year, the organization supports, serves, and connects over 400,000 individuals across Armenia, Karabakh, and the diaspora.
Institute for Democracy and Human Rights – Contribute to the development of democracy in Armenia based on the principles of human rights and social justice. IDHR cultivates volunteer-based, non-profit, civically conscious, responsible, proactive and committed activist action and culture. IDHR’s mission is to empower and mobilize the actors that can generate positive fundamental change. We organize educational programs on active citizenship, support the self-organization of civic groups, carry out analysis of socio-economic public policy and formulation of alternative policies, raise the public political awareness through publications and other resources.
Endanik Charitable NGO – Assist in the psychological restoration of youth, orphans and special needs children from economically disadvantaged and large families. Endanik also creates conditions for choosing and training people for new professions and help combat unemployment. Endanik also operates a summer camp in Arbaniak
Land and Culture Organization – The belief that a national culture can best flourish and bear fruit on its own land is the mission of the Land and Culture Organization. Each nation has the privilege of dwelling on its ancestral lands, struggling for its preservation. The commitment of the LCO is to gain and disseminate an intimate knowledge of the land and its rich culture.
Armenian Missionary Association of America – At its heart, the AMAA promotes the spiritual growth and development of the Armenian people. The AMAA focuses its missionary efforts worldwide on four primary areas: Education, Churches, Humanitarian Needs, and Camps. AMAA promotes fellowship between the Armenian Evangelical Church and the Armenian people throughout the world.
Sose & Allen’s Legacy Foundation – The Foundation continues Sosé & Allen’s vision by establishing programs and supporting existing programs aimed at bridging the gap between Armenia and its Diaspora, through an emphasis on education, repatriation, and volunteerism within the homeland.
Armenian Relief Society – Helps people in economic and social distress and promote community and civic involvement in local and international arenas. The ARS has been working in Armenia, Artsakh and Kavakhk since 1991 operating several programs including orphanages, schools, youth programs, medical projects, day care programs and much more.
Society without Violence – Share our human rights skills and knowledge with others, to educate and inspire young women and girls to be active in the political, social, cultural life of the republic, to empower women and girls to become leaders, woman human rights defenders.
ONEArmenia– Implements 2-4 culture and tech ideas per year from our global community. Facilitates connections between projects that need a helping hand and volunteers who have time and resources to give. Works everyday with creative interventions and community projects in Armenia.
