In an evening that not only celebrated half a century of educational leadership but also demonstrated the unwavering strength of community, the Chamlian Armenian School proudly marked its 50th anniversary at a gala on November 15, that will be remembered for generations to come. The event, a testament to the collective spirit and dedication of the Chamlian family, raised an impressive $1.6 million, thanks to the overwhelming support from parents, supporters, and the broader school community.

This remarkable achievement was made possible by the evident confidence placed in the school’s direction, a reflection of the steadfast and visionary leadership at its helm. Through their relentless dedication, the leadership team has fostered an environment of excellence and trust, ensuring the school’s legacy continues to thrive.

“As we gather to celebrate Chamlian’s 50th Anniversary Gala, my heart swells with pride and joy. This momentous occasion brings our entire community together, bridging past, present, and future. It is a tribute to our enduring legacy and a look forward to the boundless opportunities that await us. Tonight, we celebrate not just a school, but a family, a shared journey, and a bright future.” said Dr. Talin P. Kargodorian, Chamlian’s Head of School.

Central to the gala’s success were the tireless efforts of the school board, the parent support committees, and the gala committees. Together, these groups orchestrated an event that not only celebrated the past 50 years but also set a strong foundation for the future. Their commitment underscores the collaborative spirit that is at the heart of Chamlian Armenian School’s community.
The gala was a momentous occasion to honor the Chamlian family, alongside the Baghdassarians, for their contributions and unwavering support. In a special tribute, the evening also recognized the first school board members: Alice Petrossian, Armine Hacopian, Vahik Petrossian, Vahe Hacopian, and Vrej Gregorian, inviting them to the stage amid hearty applause for their pioneering vision and dedication.

Highlighting the evening was the homage paid to our most cherished assets, our faculty, who have devoted more than 25 years to nurturing students. This special ceremony was led by the Head of School, Dr. Kargodorian, and Western Prelate Archbishop Kegham Khacherian.
Chamlian school also extended its gratitude to Chris Pogosyan and the Chamlian family, whose generous sponsorship ensured the gala’s success, illuminating the path for the school’s continued growth and excellence.

The evening’s program began with Very Rev. Fr. Zareh Sarkissian, leading the opening prayer and them inviting Prelate Khacherian to share his heartfelt remarks.
The Prelate expressed his sincere appreciation to the founding benefactors of Vahan and Anoush Chamlian Armenian School as well as all past and present benefactors for their vision and dedication to supporting our community.
