Holds a Book Presentation on “Lithographs of Armenian-Populated Settlements in India”
On the occasion of its 55th anniversary, the Research on Armenian Architecture organized an event on November 11 in partnership with Yerevan State University’s Faculty of History.
The event was attended by several dignitaries and government officials, including: Ambassador of India to Armenia Nilakshi Saha Sinha; YSU Vice-Rector Mikael Hovhannisyan; YSU Dean of History Mkhitar Gabrielyan; lithographer and archeologist Arsen Harutyunyan; Secretary General of the National Commission for UNESCO David Knyazyan; Director of the Diplomatic School; Director of the Genocide Museum; heads and representatives of various departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Education; representative of the National Security Council; and the representatives of public and non-governmental organizations.
Raffi Kortoshyan, co-director of RAA and the author of the book ”Lithographs of Armenian-populated settlements of India,” presented the Armenian lithographs in India on the 32nd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republics of Armenia and India.
The premier screening of the film “India, In Armenian Traces” also took place at the event.
The RAA foundation took the event as an opportunity to gift its comprehensive collection of publications to the library of YSU’s Faculty of History, with a special presentation of volume 21 titled ”Lithographs of Armenian-populated settlements of India.” The pre-publishing work was done with the support of RAA-USA, with the printing completed with the support of the Republic of Armenia’s Ministry of Education, Science and Culture.
