During his recent visit to Washington, Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made irresponsible statements questioning the historical accuracy of the Armenian Genocide, adding yet another link to the ongoing chain that threatens to destroy our nation. The veracity of the Armenian Genocide and the eventuality of just reparations, which have been undeniably recognized by many countries and authoritative historical institutions around the world, is being called into question by the so-called Prime Minister who has usurped power in our own homeland.
On the other hand, Baku’s genocidal regime, is continuing the staged trials of the military-political leadership of Artsakh in the “courts,” amid the deafening silence from the current authorities of the Republic of Armenia.
Such statements, which serve the political agenda of our enemy, raised a wave of anger in the Diaspora and the homeland. All Armenian circles that are engaged in demanding the just aspirations and rights of our Homeland and the Armenian people have been shaken to their core by these actions.
Thus, the Special Regional Convention of the Western U.S., convened on the eve of the 35th ARF World Congress, strongly condemns this anti-national policy that strikes at the core of the demands of the Armenian people and is adding fuel to the fire of the genocidal plans of Turkey and Azerbaijan. This will surely result in grave security threats to Armenia.
The Armenian authorities are not only unfit to confront the current challenges, but also, with their false agenda of “peace” and by trampling on the inalienable rights of the Armenian people, they are further deepening and creating new dangers for the Armenian people.
Therefore, the Regional Convention is convinced that
.-The formation of a national government in the homeland is an urgent imperative.
.-The issue of recognition of and reparations for the Armenian Genocide, as well as the pursuit of the Armenian Cause, will continue to remain on the national agenda.
.-The strengthening and advancement of the organization in our region will serve as solid levers to protect the rights of the Armenian people on the international arena.
.-Along with the preservation of Armenian identity, we remain committed to supporting the homeland and directing our capabilities toward the strengthening of the our statehood.
To that end, we reaffirm our unwavering determination to continue to fight with all our strength, for the inalienable rights of Armenia, Artsakh, and the entire Armenian Nation, as well as for international recognition of and reparations for the Armenian Genocide.
