Vahe Karapetian generously sponsored the event, demonstrating his steadfast support and dedication to the Pilibos community. His continued generosity is crucial in shaping Pilibos’s bright future.

Beyond the evening’s honorees and fundraising success, the night celebrated Pilibos’ growth and future endeavors. The funds raised will directly support the school’s expansion efforts, enhancing academic programs, upgrading facilities, and creating innovative spaces to enrich Scholar learning experiences. This investment ensures that Pilibos remains at the forefront of academic excellence and community development.
The Gala was a testament to the power of unity and commitment within the Pilibos family. Guests enjoyed an elegant evening filled with heartfelt speeches, inspiring moments, and a shared dedication to shaping the school’s future. The ambiance set the perfect stage where contributors from the past joined benefactors of the present to honor Pilibos’s legacy and propel its bright future collectively.

“We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible generosity of our community. This historic evening reflects Pilibos’s unity and collective dedication to providing the best possible education for our Scholars. The $5 million raised will be a foundation for continued growth and excellence,” said the principal, Dr. Souzy Ohanian.
In her address to the banquet, Dr. Ohanian prefaced her remarks by reading a short note that was written by famed Armenian author Hovannes Shiraz, which was published on February 23, 1971 on the front page of the Asbarez newspaper.

Following her speech, Asbarez Executive Editor Ara Khachatourian presented an enlarged version of that page to Dr. Ohanian as a memento on behalf of the management and staff of Asbarez. In brief remarks, Khachatourian said the students who read and study Shiraz will get an opportunity to see the author’s ode to their school. Shiraz’s words will also resonate in the halls of the school for future generations of Pilibos Scholars.
“A heartfelt thank you to the incredible Gala Committee and Committee Chairwoman Jacklin Boyadjian for their meticulous planning and countless hours of hard work, not only in bringing this fantastic event to life but also in helping make our expansion project possible. Their passion and commitment have been instrumental in shaping a brighter future for our school and community,” said the school administration.
As Pilibos embarks on this exciting new chapter, the 55th Annual Gala will be remembered as a night of hope, triumph, commitment, and dedicated support for the school’s mission. With the Unstoppable nature of its remarkable community, Pilibos will continue to soar to new heights.
