YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–The Armenia-Russia agreement on friendship–cooperation and mutual assistance signed by Ter-Petrosyan and Yeltsin in 1997 was ratified by the Upper House of the Russian Parliament with 124 votes in favor and 1 abstainee–Wednesday. The bilateral agreement was ratified by the Lower House earlier.
It is expected that Armenia’s National Assembly consider the ratification of the agreement February 2-4.
