YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–President Robert Kocharian received on Monday a delegation led by Deputy Speaker of the British Parliament’s House of Lords–Baroness Caroline Cox. The delegation included Lord Hilton and Christian Solidarity International representatives.
Presenting the goal of her mission–Baroness Cox told President Kocharian about its immediate objectives which are to provide the world community with the real Karabakh problem and assist Karabakh in its reconstruction.
Kocharian praised the activities of the group–saying that is very helpful in molding world opinion and providing true information about the Karabakh issue.
Commenting on the Karabakh settlement–Kocharian stressed that it is necessary to through negotiations get the recognition of the right to self-determination of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh–ensure the people’s existence within safe borders–and maintain a constant geographical link with the homeland.
