YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Newly appointed Karabakh Prime Minister Jirair Boghossian visited the National Assembly on Tuesday. On behalf of the National Assembly–Speaker Oleg Yesayan congratulated Boghossian on his appointment to this high post and expressed hope that under his guidance the executive power would make progress in the social and economic development of the country–the implementation of reforms in management–and in raising the standards of living of Karabakh. Yesayan gave assured Boghossian that the legislature is ready to assist the government for the welfare of the people of Karabakh.
Prime Minister Boghossian thanked Yesayan for his warm greetings and voiced confidence that the government and the parliament would cooperate effectively and efficiently. The prime minister assured that the welfare of the nation and social and economic development would be the major concern for the government.
On Wednesday–Armenia’s President Robert Kocharian stated that he felt the recent power crisis in Karabakh must have been caused by "unrealized ambitions," adding that there were no deep and objective reasons for the crisis. "They say in Karabakh that the crisis is over. I hate to jump to conclusions. I would be very glad if the crisis were finally overcome," said Kocharian.
