YEREVAN (ArmRadio)—A 10-member military brigade from the Armenian Armed Forces left for Budva, Montenegro, Wednesday to take part in the “Doctor-2010” military training program under the Partnership for Peace initiative organized by the US European Command.
Representatives of the Armenian armed forces have been participating in this annual military training since 2004. The main purpose of the training is to develop the skills of military medical practitioners and medical units of NATO member and partner states in emergency situations together with multinational rescue missions or during international peacekeeping missions.
Since the September 1, 20 communication officers of Armenia’s Army have been participating in the signal and communication system implementation “Combined Endeavour – 2010” annual military exercises in Germany and Romania. These too are being conducted under the Partnership for Peace initiative.
The initial planning conference of the military exercises was held in Yerevan in January.
Armenian Army staff officers will also participate in a joint US-Ukraine peacekeeping exercises in Lvov.
