BAKU (Trend)—The process of resolving the Nagorno Karabakh conflict must be accelerated, head of the EU representative office in Azerbaijan Roland Kobia told media.
“Armenia and Azerbaijan failed to reach an agreement on the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement at the Kazan meeting,” he said. “But this does not mean that the whole process has failed. Of course, the failure to reach an agreement at the meeting is disappointing. But a few days later a meeting was held in Sochi. I heard it was held in a positive atmosphere. We would like this process to continue. I would not like to think that the settlement process has ended.”
Kobia touched upon the incidents occurring at the contact line between Armenian and Azerbaijani troops.
“We are saddened by the situation in the frontline,” he said. “There must not be such cases from the Azerbaijani or Armenian sides, because there is a ceasefire regime. No one should die there. Both sides must respect the ceasefire regime.”

“Both sides must respect the ceasefire regime”
Don’t you mean that Azerbaijan should respect the ceasefire. The only real progress will start when people stop mincing their words together and call a spade a spade. Azerbaijan started this war and is the open aggressor of this frozen conflict.
When Azerbaijan get very strong signals from the international community that their agressive stance against Karabakh will not be tolerated and will be met with economical blockade. Then May be Azerbaijan will begin to act civil. But the powers at be need anagressive oil state which spends a lot of money on Armaments. They can controll a tyrent much better than a civilised leader. Azerbaijan will not survive because it is a potty in the hands of the powers at be and it’s only existance is to serve them, once it’s purpose is done the powers at be will pull the plug on this fonney state and Azerbaijan will be no more.
