YEREVAN ("Azg" daily)According to the Ministry of Social Security–some 7,000 disabled children are registered in Armenia today.
Experts in child psychology insist that work requiring simple movemen’s helps the development of the muscular and nervous systems–while money paid for work creates trust in their abilities and in the future.
The Red Cross societies of Armenia and the Netherlands are implementing a joint program of aid to the disabled children to help with their physical and moral recovery–and to improve their social conditions. According to the project–children will be employed for the preparation of postal envelopes. Money earned as a result of their sales (40-45 drams per envelope) will be used for the development of the project.
