YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–On August 3–the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Armenia and the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of the Peoples Republic of China signed a protocol establishing an Armenian-Chinese Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation. The commission will include nine representatives of both countries.
Hrayr Aramian–head of the Department for Foreign Economic Ties and Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade–said that Armenia attaches great importance to better the cooperation with China. China and Armenia have made economic agreemen’s since 1992 that deal with trade and economic cooperation–stimulation of investmen’s and mutual protection of investmen’s.
China has decided to give a loan to the Republic of Armenia in order to work on several joint projects which include the establishment of joint production of mini-tractors–the modernization of the Hrazdan TPP and the development of Armenia’s mining industry.
