TEHRAN–The Tehran-based Alik Armenian newspaper began a new chapter in its history when it moved into its newly constructed headquarters late last month.
The 67-year-old daily has been the most important news sources for the Armenian community in Iran–often becoming the voice of the community throughout Iran’s turbulent history.
The building which housed the publication of the newspaper for the past 40 years has become a landmark not only for the community in Tehran–but also for the country as a whole.
Those who walked its hallways and contributed their time and resources to the publication of this important newspaper–grew to call the building their home and the Alik their family.
The Alik moved to its new headquarters taking the legacies of the past and applying them to the future–with a renewed spirit and conviction to become a friend to the Armenian family in Iran.
Incidentally–circulation and publication of Alik was not halted during the move.
