YEREVAN—Armenia-based Ameria Advisory has become the country’s first company to implement projects internationally with LOT 7. What is so great about it? How will this impact Armenia’s overall visibility globally? How big of a win is this?
As a LOT-7 member, Ameria will have the right to work with the world’s leading advisory firms through consulting projects in various countries of the world, with that increasing Armenia’s visibility globally. In order to become a full-fledged member of EU Framework Contract (FC) under LOT 7, Ameria management advisory services had to pass a pre-qualification contest of European Commission (Development and Cooperation ЕuropeAid). Now, as a full Consortium member, Ameria will work on projects of up to 300, 000 euros, in the spheres of human rights, civil society, public administration, and justice and home affairs.
“This membership is a perfect opportunity to learn, network, establish partnership all over the world, gain new experience while at the same time presenting Ameria’s own professional capacity,” says Karine Nikoghosyan, project manager at Ameria management advisory..
The contractual projects will deal with a multitude of issues such as human rights protection (social, economic, cultural, political, civil), support in democratization (prevention of social and political conflicts, electoral processes, support to independent, free and economically viable mass media, freedom of speech), reinforcement of rule of law and justice (judicial reforms and improvement of penal regime), public administration and civil service reforms, increase of the role of civil society, combat against organized crime and terrorism as part of domestic policies and more.
Ameria is in LOT-7 consortium with 17 other companies from 12 countries, including Spain, Hungary, Belgium, France, Austria, Honduras, Greece, USA, Germany, Denmark, Canada and Italy. The consortium is headed by Spain-based Altair Asesores SL, with its first experience in Framework Contract in 1999. All LOT-7 members follow the “Development through Cooperation” principle, where transparent, businesslike and efficient work style is a must.
