GLENDALE–The Armenian National Committee-Political Action Committee announced Thursday its endorsement of Georgia Mercer for the Los Angeles City Council.
In April–the ANC-PAC endorsed Mercer in an election in which no candidate for the City Council seat received the necessary votes to win–prompting the run-off election on Tuesday–June 3.
Mercer–whose candidacy is challenged by Cindy Mikowski–is vying for the District 11 City Council seat–which encompasses Pacific Palisades–Brentwood–Sherman Oaks–Westwood–Van Nuys and Mar Vista. She has assured the Armenian-American community that she will continue her strong advocacy for the issues of concern to her Armenian-American constituents.
The ANC-PAC encourages all Armenian Americans to exercise their constitutional right to vote on Tuesday–June 3.
