PASADENA–The Armenian National Committee, Pasadena Chapter (ANC-Pasadena) announced today its support for Pasadena City Council and Pasadena Unified School District Board of Education candidates for the upcoming March 6th city and school district elections. For the past three weeks, the Committee has met with the Mayor, and both City Council and School District candidates to discuss housing, mobility, development, open space issues, education, and other issues of concern to city residents pertaining to the quality of life in Pasadena. The Committee had the opportunity to better understand the candidates and their positions on addressing the city concerns in general, and specifically their knowledge and understanding of matters concerning the Armenian-American community of Pasadena, Altadena and Sierra Madre. The ANC-Pasadena will be supporting the reelection of Mayor Bill Bogaard. For Pasadena City Council, the Committee is in support of Margaret McAustin for District 2 and Gene Masuda for District 4. For Pasadena Unified School District Board elections, the Committee is in support of Mark Mastromatteo for Seat 2, Milena Albert for Seat 4, and Tom Selinski for Seat 6. "We are confident that the candidates we decided to support have a strong understanding of the issues and are proposing sound solutions to matters concerning all residents of Pasadena, Altadena and Sierra Madre" said Hagop Yedalian, chairperson of the ANC-Pasadena. "It is of utmost importance for all registered voters to vote on March 6th" said Yedalian.
