ENCINO–The Armenian National Committee West San Fernando Valley Chapter announced this week its endorsement of Francine Oschin for the Los Angeles City Council 3rd District–spanning the western portion of the San Fernando Valley.
Oschin–who has served as Assistant Chief Deputy to Councilmember Hal Bernson–was chosen as the endorsee for the ANC West San Fernando Valley Chapter because of her stance on issues of concern to the Armenian American community of the area. The ANC West San Fernando Valley Chapter–upon examining the records of the candidates and conducting in-depth interviews with a number of the candidates–came to the conclusion of endorsing Oschin based on her approach to the community and its concerns–while pledging to maintain an open-door policy with the Armenian American community if elected to office.
"During our endorsement process–we paid particular attention to the issues and the candidates’ take on those issues–and we came to the conclusion that Francine Oschin would best serve the Armenian American community and the larger San Fernando Valley community through her expertise–enthusiasm and energy," explained ANC West San Fernando Valley Chapter representative Nshan Bostanian.
The ANC West San Fernando Valley Chapter plans to continue its extensive voter outreach program–through phone banking–precinct walks and other election related activities–including a fund-raiser for the candidate.
