WASHINGTON—The Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) on Wednesday issued the following statement regarding the 2016 U.S. Presidential elections:
“Every four years, as part of a comprehensive election strategy that includes Congressional report cards, candidate questionnaires, selected endorsements, voter registration and get-out-the-vote efforts, the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) carefully studies the past records and current campaign positions of the Presidential candidates regarding issues of special concern to the Armenian American community.
Following consultations with both leading campaigns regarding their respective policy priorities on Armenian American issues, and after reviewing the major party candidates’ track records and positions, the ANCA has concluded that neither the Hillary Clinton-Tim Kaine nor the Donald Trump-Mike Pence ticket earned the organization’s endorsement.
Detailed information on the records of the Republican and Democratic Presidential and Vice-Presidential candidates can be found on the ANCA website: anca.org/anca-presidential-candidate-overview-2016
The ANCA encourages Armenian American voters to vote and actively engage in all other aspects of the electoral process, most prominently by actively supporting our endorsed candidates at the federal, state, and local levels. Despite their low voter percentages, what about third party candidates Jill Stein and Gary Johnson?

Agreed! Both candidates would care less about restoration of justice to the Armenians. Instead, as usual , both will continue the Americans’ complicit role with the Turks in denying a historic fact.
President Putin and his regime may have many drawbacks, but at least the Russians’ recognition of the Armenian Genocide speaks volumes about their integrity.
Unfortunately, both our Presidential candidates lack the most necessary characteristic for an American Presiident, i.e. integrity.

America needs a savor, Turkey became a regional power house with American tax payers money, and now America is scarred to death in not to upset Erdogan, bye bye US, bye bye American values, it seems none of the two candidates will be able to do the job.

Thank you, ANCA, for adhering to your principles.

I believe it is wrong to assume that politicians are “fixed minded” people. The “Armenian genocide” and his recognition have their own life. We failed to keep the topic as “hot” as possible and push as much as we can. Current realities in the Middle East and “Armenian question” are intertwined. I will support ANCA’s activities to reopen Armenian Genocide issue while presidential compain is steel on. It is very close race. The candidates are now more sensitive to every vote. I believe millions of voters will change their mind if candidate promises to recognize Armenian Genocide. Please, start direct negotiations. We will support you ANCA djan.
