SACRAMENTO-Democratic Presidential candidates–Members of Congress–State Legislators–local officials and party activists converged on Sacramento last weekend for the annual California Democratic Party Convention. The ANCA-WR participated at the Convention with a high profiled booth that featured the organization’s work to advance issues related to the Armenian Genocide–the California-Armenia Trade Office–among other key subjects.
Throughout the weekend-long political event–the ANCA-WR booth drew many high profile political figures and hundreds of staff members for public officials and activists interested in learning more about the issues advanced by the ANCA-WR and its local chapters.
ANCA-WR Government Affairs Director Ardashes Kassakhian represented the ANC-WR at the convention along with a number of ANC activists from throughout the state–including a large number of politically active individuals from the San Francisco-Bay Area ANC Chapter.
"I am pleased that the ANCA-WR had an opportunity to showcase our impressive list of accomplishmen’s and our positive agenda at this important political event," commented ANCA-WR Chairman Raffi Hamparian. "It is important for those present at this convention–including the Democratic Presidential candidates–Members of Congress–and State Legislators to fully understand just how politically active and mature our organization is," he added.
