GLENDALE–The Armenian National Committee of America-Western Region announced this week that it will hold this year’s annual banquet at the Universal Sheraton in Hollywood on November 9. Last year’s ANCA-WR Banquet was sold out and featured the Grammy-nominated band System of a Down and Oscar-nominated Director Atom Egoyan–both of whom were honored for their Genocide recognition efforts.
The ANCA-WR banquet draws over 750 individuals annually–including a long list of dignitaries. The event attracts prominent members of Congress–state legislators–and myriads of Armenian-American political activists. The ANCA-WR banquet is the largest event of its kind that brings Armenian-Americans together with a large number of federal–state and local public officials.
"The ANCA-WR banquet has become one of the most highly anticipated events of the year," remarked ANCA-WR Deputy for Special Projects Kris Demirdjian. "Like last year–the banquet will feature many influential public officials and key government decision-makers," Demirdjian added. At every banquet–the ANCA-WR honors individuals for their outstanding public service by presenting them with the organization’s highest honor–the ANC Freedom Award.
Last year–the ANCA-WR banquet sold out in three weeks. For information on the 2003 ANCA-WR Annual Banquet–please contact the ANCA-WR office at (818) 500-1918.
