LA CRESCENTA—The 2nd Annual Korean Armenian Festival is slated for Sunday October 13, 2013 at the Crescenta Valley High School Quad and promises to be a fun filled day for families and children of all ages. Music, talents, choirs, performing arts, culinary feasts and traditions of two vibrant and historical peoples will once again come together this fall for an exceptional outdoor event.

The festival symbolizes a day of harmony and celebration of all cultures and the significance of intercultural engagement and diversity, which is so essential to our society today The Festival committee is comprised of members from both the Armenian and Korean communities, many of whom are veteran event planners with years of experience in organizing fairs, festivals, dances, fundraisers and extraordinary cultural events.

“We have a very exciting day planned for our community to enjoy,” said Dr. Armina Gharpetian, a volunteer with the organizing committee. “There will be choir, dance performances, games, k-pop, vendors and loads of delicious Armenian and Korean food.” The Korean Armenian Festival is co-sponsored and organized by the Crescenta Valley Armenian American Community Center and the Korean American Federation of N. Los Angeles and is also supported by local businesses, the Crescenta Valley Town Council, and various non-profit organizations and youth student associations.

Community members, media and businesses are encouraged to visit the Korean Armenian Festival’s Facebook page for weekly updates, vendor opportunities and exciting news.
