The second edition of the ARF Album-Atlas titled "Koyamard," a publication of the ARF Western USA Central Committee–was premiered on Friday–June 8 at Ferrahian School’s Avedissian Hall.
The album–which presents the History of ARF with pictures–biographies–and maps–is a venerable addition to the ARF literary archives. "Koyamard’s" editor in chief Hagop Manjikian’s input to this project is invaluable–and for which he will go down in ARF literary history.
This album-atlas is an authentic piece–that will be disposed to the new generation as a testimony to ARF’s brave past and will be an inspiration for them to continue the struggle.
The event was organized by an ARF Central Committee appointed Album-Atlas Committee. Master of Ceremonies was the Album-Atlas Committee’s President–Krikor Achekian. Present were Prelate Bishop Moushegh Mardirossian–St. Nahadagatz Pastor Razmig Khatchadourian–ARF Bureau member Dr. Viken Hovsepian–ARF Central Committee members Khajag Dikijian–Shahan Stepanian and Arto Keoleyan and ARF Regional members. Speakers included ARF Central Committee member Khajag Dikijian–Editorial Board member Knar Manjikian–Chief Editor Hagop Manjikian and Prelate Bishop Moushegh Mardirossian–who presented Hagop Manjikian with His Holiness Aram I Catholicos’ pastoral-letter and the "St. Mesrob Mashdotz" insignia.
All the speakers thanked the editorial staff and patrons–stressing the importance of dedicating the fourth issue of the ARF Album-Atlas to the Karabakh freedom fighters. At the close of the event–Hagop Manjikian presented ARF Central Committee member Khajag Dikijian–ARF Bureau member Dr. Viken Hovsepian–and Catholicos Aram I with copies of the book. Manjikian also presented to Armenian President Robert Kocharian and Arkady Ghoukassian copies of the books through Dr. Viken Hovsepian.
