GLENDALE–Every year–the large and dispersed family of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation–with its rank and file and supporters–come together to mark the anniversary of the founding of the political party through celebrations.
Through the ARF Day Celebrations–the party–which for more than a century has been at the forefront of the Armenian liberation struggle–turns to the public to discuss issues of concern to the Armenian people and by looking back presents accounting of its activities to the people.
This year–the Western US Central Committee of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation’s sponsored ARF Day Celebration will take place Sunday–December 5 at 6 p.m. at the Glendale High School Auditorium. For this purpose the organizing committee has invited ARF Executive Council of Armenia representative and the chairman of Armenia’s parliamentary commission on defense and national security Vahan Hovanessian to the region. Hovanessian will serve as the ARF Day celebration’s keynote speaker and will discuss the recent political situation in Armenia and address the obstacles confronting Armenia today.
The traditional dinner-dance on the occasion of ARF Day will be held Saturday evening–Dec. 4–at Ferrahian school’s Avedissian Hall. This event is organized by the ARF San Fernando Valley Rosdom chapter.
