MOSCOW–Representatives of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation will travel to Russia to be official election monitors Sunday. The monitoring mission came at the invitation of ARF partner political party Just Russia, which extended an invitation to the ARF.
The ARF delegation is comprised of ARF parliamentary faction member Lilit Galstyan and Executive Director of Armenian National Committee of Russia Yuti Navoyan.
The ARF delegation will visit precincts and visit the Russian Central Electoral Commission offices and regional headquarters.
The delegation will also take part in a press conference following the elections by international monitors.
In other Russian election news, at the request of the ANC-Russia pre-election meetings were held with Deputy Speaker of the Russian State Duma Vladimir Zhirinovsky, Russian presidential candidate Dmitry Medvedev, as well as Deputy Duma Speaker Aleksander Babakov.
The meetings intended to address issues of concern to the Russian-Armenia community.
Joining the ANC delegation were representatives of cultural, women’s, youth and social organizations.
