YEREVAN (Yerkir)–Official opening ceremonies of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation’s 30th World Congress will take place at the Armenian government hall Wednesday, party officials reported.
The ARF Press Service reported that ARF Bureau chairman Hrant Markarian will present a report at the opening of the session, after which the World Congress will move its activities to Tsakhkadzor.
Delegates from 30 ARF regions from around the world have converged on Armenia for the World Congress, which takes place every four years and is the highest body of the 118-year-old political party.
The World Congress will discuss the party’s activities of the pastt four years, analyze and discuss issues of national interest and adopt a strategy for the party’s operations for the next four years. At the conclusion of the meeting, a new Bureau will be elected to lead the organization.
