YEREVAN–As the first in a series of discussions on social and political issues directly and indirectly affecting youth–the ARF Bureau’s youth office held a seminar on women’s issues on December 1–at the Bureau’s headquarters in Yerevan. The director of the office said that ARF youth must be aware of certain issues in order to objectively be able to take a stance. Participants included 41 members of ARF Armenia Youth Organization and the Nigol Aghbalian Student Organization. Specifics discussed included human trafficking–educational opportunities–domestic violence–general international and local women’s issues–and the ARF and the involvement of women in public and political activities.
