YEREVAN (ARKA)— The recently-established Armenia Airline will make its first flight to Tel-Aviv, Israel on April 21, the deputy director general of the company, Gevorg Khachatryan, told ARKA.
“As we had announced, we will operate two flights a week to Tel-Aviv from Yerevan. Today the Boeing 737 will depart from Yerevan to Israel,’ he said.
Khachatryan said that the demand in this destination is high because it is a direct flight.
“In this regard, we are in a much better position than other airlines. Furthermore, in terms of ticket cost, our offer is also advantageous compared with other airlines,’ he said.
According to Khachatryan, they are going also to operate regular flights to Tehran, Dubai, Prague, Kiev, Minsk, Barcelona, London and Larnaca, Cyprus. The flights will then be flown to the Russian cities of Sochi, Rostov-on-Don, Mineralnye Vody and Samara and later to Germany and Italy.
The founders of the airline are Ashot Torosyan (51%), Tamaz Gaiashvili (25%) and Robert Hovhannisyan (24%). Gaiashvili is the founder of the Georgian airline Airzena. He was chairman of its Board of Directors, while Hovhannisyan was his deputy.

Of all the places in the world they had to choose Israel for a maiden voyage???? A country who doesn’t recognise the genocide, a country who is a strong ally to Azerbaijan and Turkey, a country who is systematically killing Palestinians….. What a timing especially today that we are commemorating our innocent victims. what a shame.
