YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Twenty-two Austrian companies representing different branches of the economy participated in the Yerevan Armenian-Austrian business forum. President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Armenia Samvel Sharbatian said among these companies are the renowned Muller Martini–Isa Woltman and Greisinger Fleiesch. Armenia was represented by 105 firms–including the Tosp OJSC–the Nushikian Association–Sharm–etc.
The goal of the forum was to study the Armenian market and to set up joint ventures; several similar deals are expected to be signed soon–Sarbatian suggested.
He added that negotiations are currently being conducted with the World Labor Organization concerning the creation of jobs in Armenia. Preparations for an exhibition of Armenian products in Bulgaria and exhibitions of Russian and Italian products in Armenia are also being made.
