YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–President Robert Kocharian is scheduled to pay an official visit to Kazakhstan Wednesday. The president’s delegation will include the ministers of transport–energy–state revenues–as well as other officials. Also accompanying the president in the trip will be Armenian businessmen.
On Thursday–President Robert Kocharian is scheduled to meet with his Kazakh counterpart Nursultan Nazarbayev. This meeting will be followed by broader negotiations.
Armenia and Kazakhstan are expected to sign interstate agreemen’s on cooperation in the fields of customs control–banking services and trade. The two countries’ presidents will sign an agreement on friendship and cooperation between Armenia and Kazakhstan as well as will issue a joint statement.
As part of his Kazakhstan visit Robert Kocharian will hold public meetings with representatives of the local Armenian community. In Astana–the Armenian president will attend an opening ceremony for a school. He will also visit the memorial to the victims of political reprisals.
