YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–The 15th plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation was held in the capital of Albania–Tirana on June 8. Attending the session was also an Armenian delegation headed by Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly Armen Khachatrian.
In his speech on "Agenda of the BSEC Parliamentary Assembly in the new millennium: new tasks–new approaches" the speaker of the Armenian Parliament stressed the importance of reforming and harmonizing legislations of the BSEC member-countries for implementation of cooperation programs in the Black Sea Region.
The session approved the report and proposals made by Gagik Tadevosian–member of the BSEC PA Committee on Cultural–Educational and Social Affairs. The documen’s suggest regional centers of medical service be established as well as exports of overdue drugs and low-quality products to the countries of the Black Sea regions be prohibited.
Member of the Committee on Political and Economic Affairs Viktor Dallakian submitted proposals on the struggle against organized crime–elaboration of common customs laws and migration policy.
