STEPANAKERT (ArmRadio)—Azerbaijan not only continues to aggravate the situation at the Karabakh/Azerbaijani border by periodically violating the ceasefire regime and undertaking subversive attempts, but also resorts to provocations on the information field, the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (Artsakh) Defense Ministry said in a statement on Monday.
The Ministry dismissed the claims of the Azerbaijani side on the use of 60-mm mine throwers, grenades and large-caliber machine guns by Karabakh forces, describing it as “yet another provocative trick” of the rival.
The front divisions of the Artsakh Army are strictly observing the ceasefire regime.
“By spreading such misinformation, the Azeri side prepares ground for future provocations,” the NKR Defense Ministry said.
Meanwhile, the Azerbaijani side violated the ceasefire 100 times at the border with the Karabakh forces over the weekend, the Defense Ministry reported on October 31.
The rival used firearms of different calibers as it fired over 2,300 shots in the direction of the Armenian positions.
A group of servicemen were spotted clearing mines at a neutral zone, in the northern direction of the Karabakh/Azerbaijani border.
The rival was thrown back as a result of response actions taken by the Artsakh Defense Army.
Armenian serviceman Arsen Baghdasaryan was visited by representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), who has been in Azerbaijani captivity since December 2014, reported the Communication Department of the ICRC Baku Office.
Baghdasaryan was given a message from his family who will soon be informed of his conditions.
The front troops of the Defense Army keep full control of the situation at the border and confidently continue with their military duty.

The best defence is offence. From your mountain fortresses, swoop down like eagles and snatch more territory. Take a bridge of land north to the russian border. l the water resourcesTake over all the water resources, Take control of part of the oil pipeline, than Nagorno Karabakh can negociate from a position of strength. Russia will be glad, and they will negociate for peace, another twenty years.
