YEREVAN (Respublica Armenia daily)–The Constitutional Court affirmed a loan agreement signed in Moscow August 23.
According to the agreement–a loan of 98.3 billion rubles will be provided to Armenia to help with payment of the past debts for reconstruction of the nuclear power plant.
This money will be provided by Russian Central Bank and should be paid back in several installmen’s between 1998-2002.
According to the Armenian Ministry of Economy–it is appropriate to use this credit for needs of the nuclear plant.
After its reactivation–the plant produced 304 million KWt/h in 1995–2,200 million KWt/h in 1996.
It is planned that 2,300 million KWt/h will be produced this year.
