TBILISI (Noyan Tapan)–Vazgen Sargsyan and Safar Abiyev–the defense ministers of Armenia–Azerbaijan met Tuesday in the western Georgian town of Tsinandali.
The meeting was organized by their Georgian counterpart Davit Tevzadze–reported Georgia’s deputy defense minister Grogol Katamadze during a press briefing Wednesday.
Katamadze announced that the three defense minister held a talks on regional issues–following which the Georgian minister left his counterparts alone.
The Georgian side urged the two minister not to discuss the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and to focus mainly on other regional issues.
The two defense ministers agreed to meet again in Georgian in May.
