TBILISI (Armenpress)–A member of Georgian parliament from predominantly Armenian populated region of Akhalkalaki–Melik Raisian–said on Thursday a wave of protest actions might sweep over the region situation in Javakhk while in Tbilisi.
Raisian pointed out that local leaders of the Georgian Citizens’ Union have also been demanding Baramidze’s resignation since June.
They had criticized him for conducting a wrong personnel policy and blamed him for the degradation of the social situation in the region. The Governor has rejected all allegations and stated that he has no intention of resigning.
