WASHINGTON–The Embassy of the Republic of Armenia is proud to announce the first meeting of the representatives of the Diaspora-Armenia Conference of North American. The meeting will take place at the Armenian Embassy in Washington on Monday–April 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Representatives of Armenian-American/Canadian organizations are encouraged to attend.
A letter to Diaspora Armenian organization discusses the Diaspora-Armenian Conference–which is scheduled to convene on September 22–in Yerevan.
"At this time–the Steering Committee is conducting meetings and discussions with representatives of the Armenian Diaspora in several countries. Such meetings have been held in Budapest and Paris with the participation of representatives of European-Armenian organizations," the letter informed. The Co-Chairman of the Steering Committee–Vartan Oskanian–Minister of Foreign Affairs–will chair the meeting. President Robert Kocharian will deliver the welcoming remarks.
