YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–A commentator of the National Radio of Armenia Sussannah Poghossian is going to file a lawsuit against the British Broadcast Corporation Radio for copyright violation.
The BBC broadcast an excerpt from an exclusive interview with the President of Azerbaijan Gaidar Aliyev given to Poghossian–before it was aired by the Armenian Radio.
Poghossian said that she interviewed the President of Azerbaijan in Tehran–where he was attending the 8th Summit of the Organization of Islamic Conference. BBC Radio (Russian Service/Middle Asia and Transcaucasus) aired a part of the interview on Dec. 12–indicating that the interview was given to the Armenian Radio.
Meanwhile–the given interview has not yet been broadcast by the Armenian Radio (Poghossian returned from Tehran on Dec. 18). Besides–she did not give the right to use her interview to anybody.
Poghossian’s attorney is currently preparing papers to file a lawsuit for copyright violations.
