YEREVAN (Arka)—Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanian traveled to Artsakh on Sunday to visit the Republic’s military units as part of the military cooperation between the two Armenian states.
He was accompanied by Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Minister Movses Hakobyan. They visited a number of sections on the frontline, meeting with top military commanders.
Ohanian and Hakobyan also looked into the matter of improving defensive technologies along with other measures designed to bolster border protection in light of the latest attempts by Azerbaijani units to infiltrate into Nagorno-Karabakh territory.
The defense ministers also attended a groundbreaking ceremony for a planned military town in the village of Kolatak in the Martakert region. The project is funded by philanthropist Hayk Makhakelyan.
It is good that our two DM visiting often the front line,. I have been to Artsakh many times. I am happy that the officials in NKR have learned to not allow every foreign “journalist and “international aid worker” into Artsakh – since most of counties have there spies include in so called “development agencies , NGOs or there special programs …!
How come that most solders killed are in the age of 19 or 20!!?
I would suggest that our two DMs look into this fact and start training young Armenian solders a bit longer before sending them to the front line and make sure that these young solders are well protected!
Artsakh should start insulating cameras trough NKR simply to protect tourism and more!
