ALEPPO (Kantsasar)—It has been two days since the armed terrorists shell the Nor Kyugh district of Aleppo, bombing “Vergin Gulbenkian,” currently serving as retirement home for Armenians, reported Aleppo-based “Kantsasar” weekly.
The director of the retirement home, Avo Katrjian told that a rocket fell on the building, killing one of the staff members, Maral Kyouligian. Two men were injured, Clergyman Zareh Shakarian and the retirement home’s security guard Jacques Haddad. Fortunately, the lives of the injured are not under risk.
The building has been severely damaged as a result of the attacks. Directly after the occurrence, the men of Nor Kyugh rushed to help. For security reasons, the elderly were moved to a lower floor of the building.
