ATHENS–An earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale hit Greece Tuesday afternoon–killing 67 people and injuring 500–50 of whom are reported to be in critical condition. The earthquake also leveled 60 building–10 factories and numerous homes.

The newspaper reported that Greek-Armenian establishmen’s have not incurred serious damage–as a result of the earthquake.
The newspaper reported that the Armenian Evangelical Church in the Kokinya region of Athens has had structural damage. Expert will assess the damage and determine the future use of the building.
Homes in the Armenian-populated Attike region have sustained damages–but no deaths or injuries have been reported in the Armenian community.
