YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–A final agreement on holding an Armenian-Ukrainian forum in Yerevan June 22-25 was signed at the Ukrainian Embassy in Armenia Wednesday by representatives of both countries’ unions of manufacturers and businessmen.
The chairman of the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia–Aram Vardanian–said that the preparatory period had lasted three to four months.
He said that barter cooperation should be developed. Vardanian reported that three exhibitions and sales will be held. An exhibition of the food and light industries of Armenia will be held at the foyer of the Sundukian Theater in Yerevan; jewelry and handicraft products will be exhibited at the lobby of the Government Sitting Hall.
The chairman of the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Ukraine–Anatoly Katerinich hoped that this forum will strengthen the trade and economic relations between the two countries.
According to him–the Ukrainian Ambassador to Armenia–Alexander Bozhko–and the Armenian Ambassador to Ukraine were very helpful in the organization of the business forum.
He hoped that the expectations would be justified and that the trade and economic relations between Armenia and the Ukraine would enter a new phase. According to Katerinich–Armenian and Ukrainian businessmen can successfully cooperate–especially in the spheres of electronics–chemical industry and high technologies.
