PHILADELPHIA–Ani Hagopian, an Armenia’s for Obama activist, and Karine Keshgegian, an active Armenian Youth Federation member of the Philadelphia chapter, went door to door in Delaware County, Penn. to promote Senator Obama and ensure his victory in this key battleground on Nov. 4.
"It was really exciting to participate in battleground state. So much emphasis is being put on Pennsylvania and the time I have been spending here has been intense and non-stop," said Hagopian. She added, "You can tell the amount of effort people are putting into the campaign is making a difference."
Hagopian has been in Pennsylvania for the past week, working daily with the Obama campaign and volunteering on behalf of Armenia’s for Obama. Additionally, Hagopian and ANC activists from the Philadelphia area have been focusing attention on voter registration and engaging and educating the community about the election. "Having Karine participate was great. She isn’t even old enough to vote yet, but her enthusiasm was great throughout the whole day and she was really interested in learning about where Senator Obama stands on Armenian issues," says Hagopian.
