YEREVAN (Armenpress)–Armenia’s Foreign Ministry Press Secretary Dzyunik Aghajanian was appointed on Tuesday–Minister Plenipotentiary to the Armenia’s Permanent Mission to the UN in New York.
Replacing her will be Hamlet Kasbarian–announced Armenia’s Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian during a press conference–and conveyed appreciation to Aghajanian for her fine work at the Ministry.
"I realize that–customarily–the press critiques the accomplishmen’s of a press secretary; I –nevertheless–want to offer my review," said Oskanian about the outgoing Aghajanian. He noted Aghajanian’s persistence–and wholehearted dedication while serving as press secretary–positive that she would undertake her new duties with the same conviction and vigor.
Addressing the press–he said–"You are sure to lose a great friend from the Ministry," but guaranteed them that the positive relationships created by past press secretaries would continue.
He revealed that the new Press Secretary Kasbarian has both media and diplomatic experience. "His new position will allow him to draw on both."
In turn–Kasbarian said the professionalism with which the Foreign Ministry interacts with both the public and the media will enable him to carry out his duties with greater ease.
