The ARS “Anahid” Chapter organized a vibrant cultural event on April 6 at the Holy Martyrs Ferrahian High School’s Avedissian Hall, celebrating “Revitalization of Traditions,” the theme of 2025, as declared by His Holiness Catholicos Aram I.
More than 200 esteemed guests took part in the event, including Archpriest Rev. Father Der Razmig Khachadourian of Holy Martyrs Armenian Apostolic Church, ARS Central Executive Board member Annie Kechichian, representatives of sister organizations and community members.
The event showcased uplifting performances and featured traditional Armenian songs and dances, which were performed by the Hamazkayin “Sayat Nova” Choir, the Hamazkayin “Baruyr Sevag” Nairi Dance Ensemble, soloist Tehmine Boghosyan and Armenian Ethnographic Ensemble—each highlighting the significance of preserving cultural and religious traditions.

As attendees enjoyed an evening of music and dance, they were reminded of the profound impact of cultural revitalization and community engagement.
Master of ceremonies, Sona Madarian spoke about the Catholicos’ message for 2025, explaining that tradition is not just a part of who we are, “it is what connects us. It bridges our past and present, preserves our language, faith, culture, and keeps our identity alive across generations and continents.”

“Even in the diaspora, it is tradition that holds us together reminding us of who we are and where we came from. It is not just heritage, it is our heartbeat,” Madarian added.
ARS Anahid Chapter’s efforts served as a shining testimony to the transformative power of cultural expression and collective action. As the event concluded, ARS Anahid Chapter’s Executive Board served traditional Armenian gata, hadeeg and beverages to attendees.
