AKHALKALAK, Georgia (Yerkir Media)–The Armenian Relief Society of Georgia visits the hospital of Akhalkalak on Armenian Christmas, bringing gifts and toys for the patients of its children’s ward. The visit is an annual tradition appreciated by hospital staff and parents alike, who thank the ARS for brightening up the holiday season for the children.

Worldwide the ARS has done more for the needy than most international relief groups. They are now 100 years old and started off as the Armenian Red Cross. Helping in Haiti and other non-Armenian countries the ARS are true angels especially for children’s issues. They have also donated to many educational facilities.
