GLENDALE–The Armenian Relief Society Western Region USA Centennial Committee will proudly mark 2010 as the organization’s 100th anniversary. To that end, the ARS regions and chapters worldwide under the auspices of the His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia, plan to establish a Centennial Fund, which will enhance the organization’s invaluable social services programs around the world. This fund will enable the ARS to continue its humanitarian mission for years to come. To promote and advance the development of the Centennial Fund, the Centennial Committee has devised a three-year agenda. First up is a Gala Banquet scheduled for Sunday, April 29, 2007 at 5 p.m. at the Downtown Marriott in Los Angeles. A subcommittee comprised of ARS members and other community members is currently working tirelessly to make this a memorable and fruitful event. The Centennial Committee seeks your support to bring the noble concept of the Centennial Fund to reality. The Gala Banquet Committee has prepared a sponsorship form which will be mailed to our community members and friends. We ask that all recipients kindly consider the organization’s cause and its unwavering dedication to its people. As you know the ARS brings smiles and laughter to our orphans, hope and strength to our sick and elderly, and enlightenment to our youth. It is with the generosity of people like you that the organization is able to achieve its far-reaching goals. Mark you calendar to attend the April 29 Gala Banquet. As the speaker for the evening, we will have the pleasure of introducing the honorable Baroness Caroline Cox of Queensbury, British House of Lords. Your presence will no doubt support the mission and growth of the Centennial Fund. We express our heartfelt gratitude to all our supporters and sponsors and look forward to a successful and festive event celebrating 100 years of the Armenian Relief Society.
