LOS ANGELES—The All-Armenian Student Association will host its annual ARTivism event on March 30 at the Center for Armenian Arts in honor of Women’s History Month. Starting at 6 p.m., the exhibition and live auction will blend art and activism, providing a platform for Armenian artists to showcase their work while fundraising for a meaningful cause.
This year, proceeds from ARTivism will go toward All-ASA’s $150,000 fundraising initiative for a TUMO Box in Armenia’s border region of Syunik. A TUMO Box is a mobile learning center that brings the TUMO educational experience to underserved and remote areas, providing Armenian youth with opportunities in animation, programming, robotics, game development, and more. The TUMO Box funded by All-ASA will be located in Shinuhayr, a vulnerable village near the border with Azerbaijan. Armenian students worldwide are uniting under All-ASA’s umbrella to invest in the future of Armenia’s border regions, ensuring that all young Armenians have access to transformative education.
The exhibition will feature a diverse range of artwork, from paintings and photography to mixed media and digital art, reflecting themes of Armenian heritage, identity, and contemporary issues. Guests can take part in a live auction, acquiring unique pieces while directly supporting the fundraiser.
All-ASA invites art collectors, patrons of Armenian culture, and community members to attend and participate in the auction. The event is open to the public, and those interested in attending can RSVP online.
For artists interested in submitting their work, submissions are still open. All mediums are welcome, and artists can either donate a portion of their work’s proceeds or contribute their piece entirely to support the cause. To submit a piece, please fill out the form here: Submission Form.
The Center for Armenian Arts is located at 250 N. Orange St., Glendale, CA 91203. Parking is available at the 222 N. Orange St. lot, where the first 90 minutes are free, followed by a rate of $2 per hour.
The All-Armenian Student Association (All-ASA) is the largest network of Armenian student organizations in the U.S., dedicated to uniting Armenian students through cultural, social, educational, and advocacy initiatives.
