PARIS, France (Artsakhpress)—Chairperson of the Parliament of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (Artsakh) Ashot Ghoulyan on December 13 paid a working visit to Paris, France, announced the press service of the Artsakh Parliament.
On the first day of the visit, Ghoulyan had a meeting with French MP and Vice-Chairman of France-Karabakh friendship circle, Guy Tessier. Cooperation projects between the friendship circles of the Karabakh and France were discussed and upcoming works were outlined during the meeting.
Ghoulyan also visited the Armenian Embassy in France and met Ambassador Vigen Chitechyan. The parliamentary speaker highly appreciated the current level of mutual cooperation of the Embassy and the Permanent Representation in France. They also discussed the role of parliamentary diplomacy in the context of the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict and solutions to regional issues.
A group of the Armenian community representatives of France were awarded with Medals of Gratitude for their contribution to the restoration and development of the Karabakh economy, science, culture, social sector and the Karabakh international recognition.
Ghoulyan congratulated them and highly appreciated the role of Diaspora.
Artsakh Permanent Representative in France Hovhannes Gevorgyan accompanied Ghoulyan in all meetings and discussions held in Paris.
