Asbarez to Host Talk with Hetq.am Editor

LITTLE ARMENIA—asbarez.com, along with the Armenian National Committee of America-Western Region and the ARF Shant Student Association will host a discussion with the editor of Hetq.am, Edik Baghdasaryan.

The event will take place on Thursday, at 7:30 p.m. on May 24 at the Hollywood Armenian Center, 1611 N. Kenmore Ave. Los Angeles.

Hetq.am is an online publication in Armenia and is key site for investigative journalism and thought provoking opinion.

The interactive discussion with the prominent, award-winning investigative journalist will explore several important topics from the state of press and media freedom in Armenia, transparency and accountability in the government and the impact of social media.

Asbarez English Editor Ara Khachatourian will moderate the discussion.

    Good idea, happy to see such an event… Armenia needs courageous, free and patriotic media and journalist. Armenian journalist and civil NGOs shouldn’t allow to be hijacked by anti-Armenian forces or so called foundations ( there are many such foundations in EU and in West working to buy and to manipulate “NGO´s” or even journalist and activists)

    I hope to see the video of the talk given by Edik Baghdasaryan. Maybe he can open the eyes of many in the diaspora about what is happening in the “motherland”.
